Interestingly, I get the same autopkgtest failure on amd64 unstable when
using buildd-built packages. If I build them myself on said amd64
unstable, autopkgtest passes. Diffing contents of said packages reveals
differences in __pycache__/*.cpython-39.pyc only. My wild guess is that
the failure has something to do with py3compile. I will get back to it
later.
