The patch looks good to me.  I will include it in the next upload.

I need to rework some of the dependencies to clear this warning seen
in the autopkgtests of the most recent version:

63s WARNING (BLAS): GPAW not compiled with native BLAS support; though
not a requirement, it
63s is recommended that BLAS be installed and GPAW be recompiled with support
63s therefor
