Package: libthinkfinger0
Version: 0.3+rev118.2-2
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

Hello,

by default, the USB device isn't accessible for a normal user, thus an
udev rule should be added to change the group who owns the USB device
(as explained at [1]):

--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
# SGS Thomson Microelectronics Fingerprint Reader
SYSFS{idVendor}=="0483", SYSFS{idProduct}=="2016", MODE="0660", GROUP="fingerprint"
--8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---

As soon as this rule is in place, any user from the 'fingerprint' group
can see the device through `lsusb` and acquire/verify fingerprints
through `tf-tool`.

However, I'm not sure we need a new 'fingerprint' group or we can just
use an already existing one (hint: 'plugdev').

Thx, bye,
Gismo / Luca
