[Fingerforce-devel] Bug#754077: fprintd: Can only register right index finger

Package: fprintd
Version: 0.4.1-5-g73edad0-3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
fprintd-enroll refuses take the -f option into account, so only the
right index finger can be scanned.

Example run:

$ fprintd-enroll -f right-middle-finger
Using device /net/reactivated/Fprint/Device/0
Enrolling right index finger.

The man page seems also inconsistent, as it does not list the
-f argument in the SYNOPSYS section for fprintd-enrool, but it
specifically mentions fprintd-enroll at the description of the
-f argument.

There may be a fix for this upstream, I think this is a pretty
serious issue, if you really want to use fprintd for authentication,
so in case of an upstream fix, a backport seems a viable option.
