[Fingerforce-devel] Bug#976859: fprintd: Impossible to verify: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.AccessDenied: Rejected send message, 1 matched rules; type="method_call", sender=":1.235"

Package: fprintd
Version: 1.90.5-2
Severity: important

Since upgrading to version 1.90.5 fprintd stoped working for me (on 2 different SID systems):

$ fprintd-verify
Impossible to verify: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.AccessDenied: Rejected send message, 1 matched rules; type="method_call", sender=":1.235" (uid=1000 pid=2294557 comm="fprintd-verify ") interface="net.reactivated.Fprint.Manager" member="GetDefaultDevice" error name="(unset)" requested_reply="0" destination=":1.236" (uid=0 pid=2294560 comm="/usr/libexec/fprintd ")

It could be since a previous version, not 100% sure.

Anyway, it seems v1.90.5 is quite broken (https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/libfprint/fprintd/-/issues/92) and v1.90.6 fixes that ((https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/libfprint/fprintd/tags).

Could you please upgrade the debian package to that upstream v1.90.6 as soon as it is possible?

I was going to set severity to grave, but wasn’t sure about it. Feel free to change it.

Thank you.
