however BrowserID is for browsers, obviously, for web.

Identity is a hardest topic i know - to decide on - now,
with XCCC we are considering all these from W3C and others,
semantic goods, ofc.
still can't make the decision, currently.
It all should relate to SocNets, distributed DB's that could be
accessed separately,
besides SocNets or other apps use,
future web sites that would adapt the industry standard, likely  -
next from OID,
.. - promoting by adapting the best possible variant, for these.

that what i think   -- at least  -- should be done

For accessing the root of freedom device and this kind of staff -
like configuration - i think - it should be a separate process,

If there would be a demand and could risk the security -- SocNets with
a "normal" extensions mechanisms would still
be able to implement a cool web login mechanism for these inner
circles controlling - web apps -- if extension would be hosted on the
box actually.

there could be done a web gui's for terminals, filesystems, BTW.
It isn't so hard now.
And would provide another kind of distributed hosting.


that all should be done - at least
due to security reasons,
so - it would be harder to botnet it all :)

That is what i'm planning for FreedomBases to be a promise for
distributed storage and search.
