since you and others seem very determined to have email (I believe you
mean also smtp), then go ahead and start putting things together. Write
a wiki page, assemble code and configuration. Polls and votes are not
needed, this is not a democracy: it's a do-o-cracy, meaning that you
need to do things in order to see them happen.
