Seems you forgot to add that error.log.  No problem, though: Was easy to 
reproduce.

It was in fact 3 errors:

 * Bug#638718, solved in wheezy - workaround now added for squeeze.
 * prosody need device nodes at install time - created earlier now.
 * Bug#556402, still unsolved - unsure if possible to work around :-(

So status is that setting su-do-helper to anything than the default 
fakeroot will fail, due to bug#556402.

I will now (or after a long needed break!) look into those other issues 
you'd found running under fakeroot.  And also try make live-builder 
backend work which also is a workaround for bug#556402.
