I disagree that it is an unrelated comment. And I thought that
Freedombox was a political thing...

Yes, I am aware of the current state of this debate and I've been
collaborating to the LinuxLibre project. You can see this wiki page I
have been working on:

I think that it is sick to put effort to develop a hardware shell to
hide the problematic hardware instead of simply choosing a different
hardware that is less problematic.
