A fork which makes the currency at least initially worthless and does not
fix BitCoin's design deficiencies (see talks by Dan Kaminsky) appears
like the worst of two worlds.

As fixing BTC architecture (block tree instead of chain, linear
volume growth, etc.) is a hard problem, the best solution is to
use a nonforked BTC client, and make FreedomBoxes part of the
current fledgling BTC economy and network.

It seems making each FBX node a facultative BTC client/wallet appears
the best solution to increase utility to end users.
