Subject: biweekly meeting: this wednesday, 7pm, Octopart offices in
Flatiron

Hi everybody,

For those who can make it, this week's meeting will be Wednesday at 7pm at
Octopart's offices in Manhattan:

43 W. 24th St, Floor 12
Nearest subway: NR at 23rd St or FM at 23rd St

If the front door is locked i'll tape instructions to it, otherwise take
the elevators right up to the 12th floor. If you have trouble getting in
or get lost you can reach me at 617-752-1733

The general theme will be data ownership and privacy; following comments
last time it sounds like we should try to split between background
information and a specific technology, so i'll bring a FreedomBox plug
computer and we can talk about the specific goals of that project:

Sorry for the short notice, especially as we are switching from Thursday
to Wednesday, I hope a good quorum can make it! For the next meeting (Wed
May 9th) i'm looking to have us hosted at either NYC Resistor in Brooklyn
or Hack Manhattan near Union Square.

General Free Network News since last time:
- 3650MHz license for FNF
- riseup.net email server seizure here in NYC
- Whitney teach-in re: NSA universal wire-taping
- May day next Tuesday
- Open Hardware Association (oshwa.org)
