Hi folks, welcome to the ninth weekly FreedomBox test image and progress
report. Yes, there wasn't one last week, the images were getting
heavily rekajiggered and didn't work until Bdale fixed them. Thanks
Bdale!

The image is available at:

Today's image was produced with:

These images include several FreedomBox-related projects. The changes
are changes made by project contributors in the last week that have made
it into the test image. The outstanding TODOs are the changes needed
before the beta-release is complete. If you'd like to contribute in any
way, fork and send me a pull request.

Changes:

Freedom Maker: https://github.com/nickdaly/freedom-maker

  - We have a booting VM image! Thanks, Tom Galloway!

  - Each box gets its own SSH keys during the first-boot process.

  - The USB stick target now contains the updated uboot, automagically.

  - I broke wireless in the images, sorry. It's fixed now, but I
noticed after I built them. It'll be back next week.

  - Package source now lives in the /sourcecode directory, so you can
build the thing yourself, and the self-contained image can be
    GPL-compliant, even without Internet access.

  - So, it turns out there's no real way to integrate the plug server
scripts into the build process, at least within a chroot. The
chroot isn't completely transparent (there're a few packages that
don't configure fully until they're on the plugserver, these
included), so I've (finally) given up on that crazy dream, for now.

PlugServer Setup: https://bitbucket.org/nickdaly/plugserver

  - Added automatic security updates to the anomaly setup.

Outstanding TODOs:

Freedom Maker: https://github.com/nickdaly/freedom-maker

  - The setup process generates GPG keys for user.
  - Setup generates GPG and SSL keys for the box itself.

Plinth: https://github.com/nickdaly/plinth

  - Turn DHCP (for clients) on/off through Plinth
  - Select DHCP or Static IP in Plinth
  - Integrate basic OpenVPN settings into Plinth
  - Integrate Dnsmasq into Plinth
  - Integrate FreedomBuddy into Plinth.
  - Hook FreedomBuddy into SSH.
  - Add more OpenVPN FreedomBuddy setup instructions.

FreedomBox Privoxy: https://github.com/nickdaly/freedombox-privoxy

  - Privoxy should use the released HTTPS Everywhere regexp ruleset.
  - Add enabling and disabling Privoxy to the Plinth UI.

PlugServer Setup: https://bitbucket.org/nickdaly/plugserver

  - *Complete*

With SQLite: https://github.com/nickdaly/withsqlite

  - *Complete*
