So far, the Debian maintainers of ownCloud seem to have put in the
effort make sure upgrades happen smoothly with help from ownCloud
upstream upgrade scripts.  So, automatic upgrades weren't a bad thing.

Upstream are no longer co-operating and the maintainers seem to have
given up now leading to ownCloud's imminent removal.
