According to /var/log/apt/history.log:

Start-Date: 2018-12-28  06:29:28
Commandline: /usr/bin/unattended-upgrade
...
Upgrade: matrix-synapse:armhf (0.33.9-2, 0.34.0-2)

Broke the matrix-synapse server

I worked around it by doing:


apt-get install python3-ldap3
apt-get install matrix-synapse-ldap3
cp /usr/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/ldap_auth_provider.py /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/

Yes, matrix-synapse-ldap3 installs a python2.7 module when the python3
one is needed.

I'm not sure where to report that issue so I thought freedombox being
impacted (as a ldap connected matrix-synapse server configuration which
seems uncommon since it wasn't caught earlier ?), I'll try this list
first.
