I took the liberty to change the subject for this arguably diverging
question.
The web page you linked to has a photo of a board screwed onto a huuuge
cooling plate. That is alarming to me.
Here are my recommendations for hardware:

Requirements I list there are "includes case" and "fanless (in normal
rooms, also on very hot days)" - I exclude also boards that are fanless
only due to huge passive cooling, because I suspect that to affect price
of delivery and therefore the total price of our users: A core
requirement for Freedombox is that it is cheap (which I suspect is not
crucial - only nice - for Openmediavault).
