FreedomBox can be installed and run on any device running Debian. Since
Tails is a Debian-based distribution, you should be able to install and
run FreedomBox on Tails.

FreedomBox is a server system, so it is intended to run on hardware
which is always powered on and always connected to the web (usually
through an ethernet cable). Once you plug in your device, you should
leave it on all the time, just as you would any other server.

Note that Tails is not typically used on devices which are always
powered on and connected to the web. Thus, though you can install
FreedomBox on a system running Tails, it is advisable to install the
FreedomBox system on hardware you are not intending to use for any
purpose aside from running FreedomBox.

But suppose you do have a laptop running Tails on it, and you install
FreedomBox within Tails using the Debian repository. Next, you'd have to
plug that laptop into your router with an Ethernet cord and allow it to
act as your FreedomBox. You should be able to find the FreedomBox on
your router's map of devices.
