Quassel app on FreedomBox is not an IRC server. It is an IRC bouncer, a 
client that is online 24/7 and collects messages on your behalf. If you 
use a regular IRC client on a desktop, it gets disconnected when the 
desktop goes to sleep. With a bouncer, you can stay connected all the time.
