Are you talking about unar or unrar-free? The latter doesn't even
support current versions of the RAR format, these days it is not
useful. The former supports current versions of the RAR format but the
creators of the RAR format dispute that the unar author has done
proper clean-room reverse engineering and that he may have included or
looked at parts of their release but non-free source code.
