Hi,
The 2.0 agent has got on a lot of dependencies. While it's good to reuse
existing composant, most of them are only useful for a specific task whereas
most of our users only do inventory. To reduce the cost of a basic
installation I want to split the agent this way:
fusioninventory-agent
- inventory and task with only dependency in Perl 5.8 distribution
(WakeOnLan)
fusioninventory-agent-task-ocsdeploy
fusioninventory-agent-task-netdiscovery
fusioninventory-agent-task-snmpquery
Each sub-module should have its own sub-project on LaunchPad.
In my opinion, It's think better to do that now before we do the
DEB/RPM/whatever packaging and that's why I want to do it quickly. what
about a 2.1 release before the end of the march for that?
Regards,
