Didn't realize the code was so compact. I'm looking at Ion now, and I see
where it is reading into.

Nothing jumps out at me, but I'll take a closer look at it later.

You might also try valgrind, but be forewarned that it will emit a lot of
spurious errors because valgrind does not know about libusb's ioctl()
calls.
