Hi All,

I am trying to install 'libhid' on FC 5 with linux kernel 2.6.15.1. I came to
know that to use 'libhid' we need to install 'libusb'. Hence I downloaded the
following package 'usbutils-0.11.tar.gz'. I unzipped the package and after
executing the commands './configure','make' and 'make install', I found that
the 'libusb.so' was installed in the following location '/usr/local/lib'.

After this I downloaded the package 'libhid_0.2.15+20060325-2.1.tar.gz' to
install 'libhid' and as mentoned in its 'README' file, I executed the
following command:

'$ ./autogen.sh --enable-debug --prefix=/usr/local/stow/libhid'.

But after executing the following command, I get the following error:

./configure: line 2199: 15+20060325-2 - 1) unstable; urgency=low: syntax
error in expression (error token is ") unstable; urgency=low")

If anyone is aware of the cause of this error, please let me know.

Am I using the right installer packages? Please let me know

Thanks,
Anmol
