Hi,
I am considering buying a N900 (actually I really want to, but my wife is
uhm...$600?) Anyways...Saw the Minicom program and had a question.
Does this program dial out over the cellular T-Mobile cell to another modem
and then we can access the other end through the minicom program?
If not, how would the connection be made? Or do you have to physically need
to be at the location of the equipment you are trying to use minicom on?
I am coming from the winlows "island" right now, and use Procomm Plus on a
desktop, it dials out through a modem, and then connects to another modem on
the other end. I have sorta pictured what I am looking for below.
winlows -> modem-> dials through Public Switch Telephony Network (PSTN for
short) -> other modem answers -> Device accessed (such as PBX, Network
Router, Voicemail system, etc..)
N900-> minicom-> dials through Cellular network -> other modem answers->
Device accessed (such as PBX, Network Router, Voicemail system, etc..)
Thank you for the help!
Eugen
