Yes.

There is no /dev/mouse:
ls /dev/mouse
ls: cannot access /dev/mouse: No such file or directory

and /dev/console gives access time of the last boot or something:

stat /dev/console|grep Access
Access: (0600/crw-------)  Uid: (    0/    root)   Gid: (    0/    root)
Access: 2013-01-25 18:27:44.938038981 +0200

This is a known problem with USB devices (e.g. /dev/input/mice), they do 
not change device access times without a kernel patch (the patch is not 
accepted to the upstream).

OK, I'll try the usb daemon and will report how it is working, maybe it 
could be incorporated to the neurodebian condor startup routines.
