Michael,
Thanks for your response.
I tried downloading the Debian squeeze (stable) version from the condor website, and added to the debian source.list.
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install condor
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
condor: Depends: libssl0.9.8 (>= 0.9.8m-1) but 0.9.8k-7ubuntu8.13 is to be installed
E: Broken packages
So, there still seems to be a mismatch, no? Right, we would rather hold off on upgrading the operating system. So,we would rather use an alternative route, if possible.
Thanks,
D. Michael

Hi,
this looks broken. There is no recent version of Condor for Ubuntu 10.04
available from NeuroDebian. You have three options:
1. If you can, please upgrade to the last LTS release 12.04 and use the
Condor package 7.8.7 from NeuroDebian (should work)
2. Use the binary package for Debian squeeze form the NeuroDebian repo.
(might work)
2. Visit the webpage of the Condor project and download there Debian
package for Debian squeeze (should work)
Let me know if you can't get it to run.
Based on your feedback, I'll take the outdated version of Condor we are
offering for lucid down.
Sorry,
Michael
