 Hi,
i had purchase a MGE-Ellipse 500 and i'm trying to use the DB9 F / RJ45
cable send by MGE with UPS. Which driver i'm suppose to use:
mge-utalk or mge-shut ?

When i try mge-utalk i've got this message:
# upsdrvctl start
Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.0.0
Network UPS Tools - MGE UPS SYSTEMS/U-Talk driver 0.80.3 (2.0.0)
Startup timer elapsed, continuing...

and there is no pid file in /var/state/... as shown by upsd:
# upsd
Network UPS Tools upsd 2.0.0
/var/state/ups is world readable
/etc/ups/upsd.conf is world readable
Can't connect to UPS [ellipse500] (mge-utalk-ttyS0): No such file or
directory
Synchronizing........ giving up

If i try mge-shut, the answer show :
#upsdrvctl start
Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.0.0
Network UPS Tools - MGE UPS SYSTEMS/SHUT driver 0.59 (2.0.0)
No communication with UPS
Driver failed to start (exit status=1)

my ups.conf looks like:
[ellipse500]
    driver = mge-shut
    port = /dev/ttyS0
    desc = "MGE-Ellipse 500"

I'm confused can someone explain me...

Thanks,
