I cannot test it, I don't have any v6 networks (on purpose).
I can glance over the code if I find the time.
I did write OpenNTPD with v6 support from the beginning on, and
OpenBGPD got it later (since there v6 changes way more than a few
socket things), and I am deeply involved with our (OpenBSD) network
stack and packet filter, so I naturally had to deal with the v6 stuff.
While some of the APIs that we got with v6, like getnameinfo and
getaddrinfo (which, in turn, are not really related to v6, except that
they originated there) are a real improvement over the traditional
interfaces, I am not exactly a fan of IPv6 - there's a gigantic stack of
issues with it, and some are fundamental problems.
