OK. That seems strange to me but hey -- this is hardware. It almost
always seems to do crazy strange things. ;)

OK, with the patch applied and full batteries I get this trace from
starting the driver, and from a upsc query. Low battery is apparently
2.0 volts, from this Q1 result at the switch over:
Asking for UPS status ("Q1" command)...
UPS status: 000.0 000.0 240.0 038 00.0 2.00 32.0 10000001
Asking for UPS status ("Q1" command)...
UPS status: 000.0 000.0 241.0 038 00.0 2.00 32.0 11000000
That was also at the 40 percent mark on the battery capacity guide,
though I didn't monitor how much further runtime the battery had.
One other issue: the 27.0 temperature reads 37.9 or 38.2 on the LCD
display. They could be driven from different sources, I guess.
At least the 38% load on the LCD agrees with the reports from the serial
port. The input and output voltages also agree.
