Peter,
    Doing this command the only other information I get is in the 
log. I get repeats of

Jan 31 14:43:09 neptune kernel: usb 1-1: usbfs: process 22628 
(usbhid-ups) did not claim in
terface 0 before use

Whilst getting

upsdrv_updateinfo...
Waiting for notifications...
upsdrv_updateinfo...

in the /tmp/info file.
