Depending on the sniffer you're using, it may or may not pass on the
status of the modem control lines. Try if setting the lines

> ser_set_dtr(upsfd, 0);
> ser_set_rts(upsfd, 1);

in upsdrv_initups() in 'megatec.c' helps. You may need to fiddle around
with the values.
