Pure coincidence :)

I grepped for tripplite and tripp-lite but didn't find where the
product id was missing. I should have grepped for the productid of the
avr550u which I suppose is already listed in that file.

done

The, pretty dummy, software is called Koblenz Protek, its, dead,
website being http://www.koblenz-protek.com/

While checking their main website I found this page (in spanish):
http://www.koblenz-energia.com.mx/nobr_usb1_4.htm

Providing a link to the latest version of the windows software
(available in spanish and english):
http://www.koblenz-energia.com.mx/Koblenz_Protek_4_0_1.zip

It is all the info I could find; the UPS didn't come with any doc
about the USB interface.
