Looks like that might be the trick - I just tried that in my working  
directory.

In the future, we should not rely on ordering of the subdirectories,  
but I am not familiar enough with how to implement "stamp" files to  
force one directory (e.g. scripts/udev) to depend on another  
directory's dist-hook.
