Well, whatever I try, it doesn't seem to work. I'm giving up.

@Arnaud: if we really need strptime() here, we'll need to find a way  
to declare it. This seems to be a Debian etch specific thing, so this  
probably can be solved more easily by someone running such a system.  
It is taken me too much time.
