Doesn't really help for this driver. (The tripplite_usb and serial tripplite drivers would care more, but the standardized USB UPS interface describes which commands are available.)

Hmm, I didn't see an UPS in that output. Might be a permissions problem if you ran lsusb as a regular user.

If you just run 'lsusb' as root, it should list the UPS along with the other devices. Running 'lsusb -vvv -d 09ae:' should give the full dump for just the UPS (the '-d 09ae:' matches the Tripp-Lite vendor ID).
