ok, right permissions.
Note that you launch the driver (or the nut init script)
with root right. But these are then dropped to switch
to the nobody user (on SuSE)...

The 3 above outputs validate that the hotplug is
working. Thus newhidups should be working too.

yep, needed to get a good productivity level on NUT again ;-)
With the above, everything should roll...
So, try the following (as root):
- "export USB_DEBUG=3D3"
- "/usr/lib/ups/driver/newhidups -DDDDD auto"
- if that doesn't work, try "/usr/lib/ups/driver/newhidups -DDDDD -u no=
body auto"
We will see what is the remaining problem... if there is one.
but once more, it should be fine now.
