The output of newhidups -DD -a SmartUps1500 (from this newer NUT
version) might be useful. Also, when you say "as soon as it starts", I
am not sure if "it" is the driver or upsd. Normally, you should start
the driver before upsd. Any error messages that you see from the
driver or upsd could be helpful too. -- Peter
