Are you saying that my UPS can use contact closure AND smart feature on the
serial port ?
I know that if I use the USB port all the smart features are available.
In the owner manual is says that if using the ups with the serial cable, the
software provided with the ups cannot be used. Windows UPS service must be
used (dumb).
So I don't think that the smart mode is available when using serial port...
or is there any think I can do to know if it's available ?
