[Nut-upsuser] 2 HID UPS'en, but only one at a time

Hello,
I installed NUT and configured it for 2 MGE UPS's connected via USB.
Debian etch NUT package:
# dpkg -l nut*|grep ^ii
ii nut 2.0.4-3 The core system of the nut - Network UPS Tools
ii nut-usb 2.0.4-4 USB Drivers subsystem for the nut - Network UP
Separately, with only one UPS defined in ups.conf, each one works fine
(I specified specific serial numbers for either, with port auto).
nut.conf:
[sr1ups1]
driver = newhidups
port = auto
serial = "^1A1F29014.*"
desc = "Serverrack 1 UPS 1"
[sr2ups1]
driver = newhidups
port = auto
serial = "AQ2G4304F"
desc = "Serverrack 2 UPS 1"
(For some reason the serial number of the first one would not work
without a .* at the end... although "1A1F29014" is exactly the content
of ups.serial output of upsc).
If I start NUT I get this in logs:
Mar 19 16:14:44 sphere newhidups[4898]: Startup successful
Mar 19 16:15:03 sphere newhidups[5232]: Startup successful
Mar 19 16:15:03 sphere upsd[5233]: Connected to UPS [sr1ups1]:
newhidups-auto
Mar 19 16:15:03 sphere upsd[5233]: Connected to UPS [sr2ups1]:
newhidups-auto
Mar 19 16:15:08 sphere upsd[5290]: Startup successful
So far so good, but...
upsc sr1ups1 at host and upsc sr2ups1 at host both return exactly the same
data (both report sr2ups1's data).
Mar 19 16:15:08 sphere upsd[5290]: Connection from 192.168.2.6
Mar 19 16:15:08 sphere upsd[5290]: Client monuser at 192.168.2.6 logged
into UPS [sr1ups1]
Mar 19 16:15:08 sphere upsmon[5293]: Poll UPS
[sr1ups1 at sphere.luciad.com] failed - Variable not supported by UPS
Mar 19 16:15:08 sphere upsmon[5293]: Communications with UPS
sr1ups1 at sphere.luciad.com lost
ar 19 16:15:13 sphere upsmon[5293]: Poll UPS [sr1ups1 at sphere.luciad.com]
failed - Variable not supported by UPS
Mar 19 16:15:13 sphere upsmon[5293]: UPS sr1ups1 at sphere.luciad.com is
unavailable
Mar 19 16:15:18 sphere upsmon[5293]: Communications with UPS
sr1ups1 at sphere.luciad.com established
Any pointers on what I'm doing wrong, or where the bug is?
I'd want to monitor at least 3 MGE UPS'es via USB on this box. Any
output you need can be provided on demand :)
Thanks!
