I opened up the UPS and traced the USB interface down to a CY7C63001 on 
a daughterboard. From that it was quite straightforward to work out 
which pins on the 10P10C were used

         10P10C    Use

             1            GND

             3            +5V
             4            Data-

I've built a cable and I've now got the UPS working
