It is unclear to me what you are trying to do here. My understanding is that the Synology software embeds NUT, and that there is an "upsd.users" file somewhere on the NAS which has the NUT username and password that you can add to "upsmon.conf" on your desktop system. SSH wouldn't be involved in that case.
