[Nut-upsuser] stale data error messages

I have a CyberPower 1500VA AVR.  I am using NUT server.  I notice very
often, I run into this message in my logs:
Poll UPS [apc1500@<ip>] failed - Data stale

I've set pollinterval = 15 on ups.conf on the server but it still errors
out.  How do I fix this?
