Followup: I see why 1 Maildir and 2 IMAPs would not work but why should
that not be possible?

[Account 1]
IMAP1 <-> Maildir1

[Account 2]
Maildir1 <-> Maildir2


or just locally:

[Account 1]
Maildir3 <-> Maildir1

[Account 2]
Maildir1 <-> Maildir2

Anyway, the same problems would occur if we sync 2 Maildirs from one
IMAP account, e.g.

[Account 1]
IMAP1 <-> Maildir1
[Account 2]
IMAP1 <-> Maildir2

(which certainly should work, but currently finish with undeterministic results)
