I agree that it should be the default, but I couldn't squeeze that into
the patch. E.g. we need a location to the CA Certs, which might differ
among distros (not sure).

On my main box, I have an emacs macro do it, the last patch flood was
 made on my travel laptop, where I did not have such a thing. Thanks for
 the commit -s hint, very helpful.

Thank you very much, now we need to notify debian to pull a newer
version, or John Ferlito does automatically, or what?

I just came home from a 50h trip, involving 30h stay in London Heathrow
and 5 botched attempts to board a plane. I only had very intermittent
online access and learned to appreciate the usefullness of offlineimap
all the more. This is really an indispensible tool.
