Yes, there is a branch next which contains the development leading up to
the next release. Our maintainer Nicolas knows the details if you want
to know more :).

Incidentally, he already applied those patches, so if you update your
git repository and do a "git checkout next" you should already have the
code and not be needing my repo. (go back with "git checkout master")
