Yes, that is what I would do. Or on gitorious.org. Or a mercurial
project on bitbucket.org... :).

Perl is fine for me if it does the job. I am not religious about
programming languages. But rewriting 200 lines of perl in
python sounds like a doable job too.

OfflineImap doesn't do maildir<->maildir, so we are lucky there. :) (I
guess that is what rsync is for)
