Hold on, I am not sure I understand you correctly. By saying validity
problems, you were saying you get errors about "UIDVALIDITY" being wrong
(which would prevent syncs), weren't you?

If you are seeing syncs going up and down, I would need a debug log
taken with "-d imap -l debug.log" to see what is actually happening. To
prune your password/login data from such a log and sent it to me
privately.
