I have just been notified via 
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=708898 that there seems to 
be a problem with zimbra. Unfortunately I cannot test this.

could you please pull 
https://github.com/marvinthepa/offlineimap/commit/9e1ebcc06d982d6cfaf595bef809d5124da00ac4 
and review it?
