offlineimap hangin reading on fd 0

Hi all,

recently offlineimap now and then simply does nothing after start. It 
sits there and polls:

select(0, NULL, NULL, NULL, {0, 50000}) = 0 (Timeout)

(0 seems to be the stdin of my terminal, definitely _not_ some netwbork 
socket)

nothing happens for minutes. After a while it continues normally.
Has anyone else seen this?
