So it seems. I had a "reliable" crash that now isn't manifesting.
Which is nice, but of course might come back any time.

Problem: offlineimap is great for archiving GMail, except that the
GMail IMAP server appears flaky from time to time and behaves in a
sufficiently bogus manner to crash the reader.

Might be worth reporting to Google as a bug if a sufficiently precise
description of the bad behaviour can be put together.
