Deleting messages on Remote Repository?

Hi!
After I started offlineimap again, the error message in my previous post didn't
show up again. Maybe it had something to do with the local repository Maildir
not existing or being empty?
Anyway...
Here's my offlineimaprc: http://pastebin.com/4PA5WVtc
I ran:
$ ~/Apps/offlineimap/offlineimap/offlineimap.py -c

Did Offlineimap delete messages on the remote repository there?
If so, WHY? Why should Offlineimap delete/expunge messages on the
SOURCE side in the first place, and why would it do that, if expunge = no
is set in the offlineimaprc?
