Gmail: downloading the rest of the mails

There is no reason why it should not work. Gmail is *theoretically* just
another IMAP server. It seems to be quite slow for you though. I get 3-4
messages per seconds.

Of course, there is always the possibility that Gmail bandwidth limits
you if you leech...
